Follow the tricks below to make the most of your workout using a Chi machine
Drink a little amount of water before using the machine- then position the machine on a stable area on the floor. Leave a small room beneath the machine to allow air movement. Now, stretch your lower back, and lay flat on the floor. For individuals with back pain or knee pain, place a pillow under your back or knee for additional support till your body gets accustomed to the chi exercises machine.
Place both legs on the machines cradle- Ensure your ankle is between 2.5 and 5.1 cms. It enables you to move your feet freely.
Position your arms according to your purpose-There are three positions which you can place your arms the mild position where the arms are under your head. Your body will be slightly above the floor. It is ideal for people with bone spurs, migraines, sore back, arthritis and misaligned spines.
Goldfish position where the hands are next to your waist on both sides. The position is ideal for anyone looking to alleviate constipation, releasing tension, internal organ discomfort, and mood balancing.
Lastly, the stretched back position with your arms extended above your head. It is the best position for anyone looking to lose weight, release muscle tension, shoulder tendinitis and for releasing nervous pressure.
Set the timer on
If you are new to using the machine, we recommend you to a maximum of 3 minutes. For those who have health issues, we recommend using the machine for less than a minute. When your body adjusts to the machine, you can increase the time by 2minutes. For maximum benefits, use the machine twice daily.
Relax and let the body move according to the machine movement
Relaxing makes you comfortable and maximizes the effectiveness of the machine. You can breathe deeply. For instance, breathe as you count to 8. When you reach 4, exhale till your abdomen tightens a little, and continue counting. Maintain the rhythm of breathing.
On completion of the machine routine, take 3 minutes before getting up.
Taking time before getting up enables the body to continue releasing toxins and toning your body. After the workout, take your feet off the cradle. Stretch your spine, roll and get up.We recommend you take a glass of water. It will help flush the toxins your body eliminated during the session.
Using the Chi machine is simple. Always wear socks when looking to use the machine. When using the machine, you may experience a tingling sensation. Try not to stop the machine or move. Note that getting up soon after the machine turns off may result in dizziness.
