For the fifth and annual time the Belgrade model European Union (BEUM) will turn Belgrade into the very capital of the European Union itself – Brussels. After four very successful years of organizing the world’s largest model EU conference, and a rich and ever-growing alumni/ae of former BEUM participants, BEUM 2015 is expanding and planning new and more interesting topics, committees, activities and venues.
This year’s edition will attract 300 young, successful and ambitious students
from the most prestigious universities from over 50 countries worldwide. The
beauty of BEUM lies in the fact that it also attracts students from non-EU and
non-European countries to participate, and learn about how the EU functions and
how they can be part of such a complex, yet quite exciting decision making
process, while debating on current issues that a great deal of time have effect
on countries beyond the borders of the EU itself.
If you’ve never participated in a model EU conference before, and you’re not quite sure on how the EU is actually run (we can’t blame you, it is quite complicated and complex!), applying for and taking part in BEUM 2015 will provide you with all the necessary tools and abilities in order to better understand how the world’s largest peace project functions, and how are the decisions being made in its exhausting, yet utterly exciting process.

of entertainment Belgrade offers a more cultural aspect as well, baring in mind
its rich and turbulent history, which is reflected upon its diverse
architecture and specific way of life, the museums of Belgrade offer a peek
into the past, and how Belgrade developed under the control and administration
by various European empires throughout its long history. However, this is just
a fraction of what Belgrade has to offer, and what being part of BEUM 2015 can
conclude on what makes BEUM 2015 special and stand out from other MEU
conferences is the fact that, the organizing team has increased its capacities,
broadened its partnership specter, expanded the number of committees, apart
from the three main ones – the European Parliament, Council of the EU and the
European Council together with the Journalist and Lobbyist team, a slightly
altered simulation of the European Court of Justice is introduced for the first
time, and by adding just a bit of something new and original in the social
