Meetings, ideas, plans, long talks and longer office days – in short, it all represents the very beginning of the edition of 2016. Just like every year, we like to start preparing for the conference as early as possible. Making sure that we set out our vision clearly and vividly is an inevitable part of our annual decisions and program.
Our conference is set to be held from the 26th to the 30th October in Belgrade, Serbia. One of the very first meetings of our Organizing team was held already in March, to be able to ensure burden sharing and task division, while working with the rest of the team and as an individual.
Our Organizing team is made off of a bit less than 30 members, all of which are subdivided in smaller teams such as the Concept team, Marketing, PR and others. Once we have divided tasks and presented ideas for that year’s edition, we start working as soon as possible. The key to good functioning for us represents devotion, passion and responsibility towards the organization, team and tasks. Each person has their own responsibilities, but we make sure that everyone can rely on other teammates and other teams, as well.
Of course, we don’t forget to unwind. Planning socials only to relax and help empower the coherency and happiness within the team is something that is never to be neglected. You see, when our members are satisfied and have gotten to know their colleagues from the rest of the team, it makes it all that easier and more comfortable to perform efficiently. Furthermore, what we hold to be the glue that keeps us together and working smoothly is that everyone is in the position to work to the best of their abilities and talents, giving them a platform to fully express themselves and, in that way, develop themselves personally and BEUM as an association.
You have to learn to work fast here, but good at the same time. It is not always the easiest thing to do, but you can be sure that BEUM will professionally push each of its members in the Organizing team to their limits, empowering them to work better and easier, to developtheir skills and be more competent in the professional working field. The work we do here is not easy and it requires time, patience, skills and creativity to the fullest, but at the same time it pays off more than the initial amount you invest. We have been told that being part of the OT is a very new, changing experience in the most positive way there is.
Frequent meetings, inner team cooperation, teamwork and improvement, continuous tasks and chances to express yourself are what brought BEUM to the level its at. We strongly encourage everyone who would like to organize a MEU in their city to feel free to contact us for ideas, assistance and advice. After all, we’ve been here for 6 years and we hope to work better, get better and continuously improve, while meeting the needs of our participants, partners of our projects and our own innovative ideas.
