In simple mun terms, the UK just decided that no longer likes its block and wants to leave in search of something better, perhaps cooler than the EU block. Its current block fails to serve its ambitions and has a lot of wallet worms so its lobbyists are not that happy with this turn out of events…So, as a natural trendsetter delegate, wants to leave in style and of course wants its block’s draft destroyed before leaving it...Prior to a royal exit, it has sent quite a few threatening notes, played out nice crisis directives and now wants to make its block beg it to stay but has leaked out that has no alternative answers if another panel of authors pops up! Isn’t that a pity for the delegate who always had permission to have coffee in the room, received the kinkiest notes, and even the chair was afraid of its statements?
Our beloved MUN maestro has admitted that its other alternatives are either an uncertain solo career or a strong but not that classy as the EU block, the so-called “Commonwealth of Nations”. This is why at the moment, the leader of the caucus, is meaninglessly postponing committee’s works just because fancies doing so! It came up with some quite lame arguments just to scare out the rest of the committee and has taken like an extension of the extension in order to discuss thoroughly its tremendous and daunting problem. It has forced even the third world countries to discuss it and instead of partying creates scary amendments and forces other people to submit them just to call them unfriendly and debate-again- on them…
And now, what’s going to happen? In every introductory model un class, one is instructed to never act extremely or go out of policy just because wants to see if has the power/skills to control a large group of people, because as we are always reminded, the basis of any International Organization is co-operation otherwise IOs would be torn into pieces! Kudos UK, your lust to be the sponsor, almost cost you your spot at the conference! And that’s not the only problem-UK as a trendsetting delegate, left up its natural place in the leadership spotlight of the EU block to the most boring and not-social butterfly at all-Germany. Additionally, it gave out the impression that if one country can have its own resolution voted, then why not other countries do the same?
So, is anyone going to control this endless trolling of that delegate? The first diplomatic warning came in, but is there any chance to stop one of the room’s best delegates from becoming the “most likely to end up in jail?’’ “Sleeping beauties” woke up and call for long lost luxuries, the Secretariat is helpless and needless to say that the conference’s agenda is not simply tabled but non-existent anymore…Perhaps a motion for meditation is in order but I really doubt that even the chairs will propose it!
