- Know and study who to sell to.
To assure a successful sale, you should do a little search about your client or you could just consider some indicators while you’re selling to the client, this action allows to adapt your product in a personalized way to the client, so you can increase your chance to close that deal.
- Remember that you’re selling yourself at first.
During the sale interview, you must keep in mind that you’re a part of the product itself, so make sure to work your communication skills, look and nonverbal communication in addition to representing well the product.
- Keep always the feedback of client ahead.
Some or salespeople they are obsessed with talking about the product and try to compliment the product at a high level without taking into consideration the feedback of client and needs. To close a deal, you need to listen more than you talk to adjust the needs of the client to your offer.
- Understand what motivates the client or the person you’re selling to.
Having a full idea of what motivates the person in the other side of the deal, it gives a full control on how you can drive the meeting and pitch your product on its best image that goes with the need of the client.
- Keep it simple.
The key to an understandable deal is to pitch your product, service or idea in a smooth and friendly way, this gives to another side the space to express their needs and at the same time, it won’t seem like your trying to push hard for closing the deal.
Selling is an art, it’s not about following certain script lines, it’s sad that it’s a way that it's advertised nowadays. Becoming a successful salesperson is all about practising the process and being creative at doing it.
