BLACKS ENSLAVING BLACKS: LESSONS AND CONCLUSIONS
Some years back I read a piece titled, “Cracking the Code, unlocking Africa’s secret to wealth” reported by Osei Boateng and I was awed. One quote I learnt from the material was, “don’t do as the English tell you to do, do as the English did”. This is a lesson Africa should learn. Who is to be blamed for ‘Blacks enslaving blacks”?. Is it the AU, the EU, the slave masters or the slaves, or our African Leaders?
We live in the African kitchen which is hot and its becoming hotter by the day with the only option of getting out.A kitchen where our leaders still do what their colonial masters tell them to do but are not ready to do what they did to develop. The kitchen of Africa gets hotter everyday with corruption, greed and lack of political willingness to develop the nation they live in. We live in a kitchen where the opposition in decision-making process seems to have all the knowledge and policies to make things happen but when given the authority it becomes a story of mess. Someone should tell our black leaders, the kitchen is becoming hotter and people will continue to leave in search of a cooler kitchen.
Africa’s hot kitchen is one that exhibits high rates of unemployment. A kitchen where graduates need to be unemployed for 11 months to a year before they can be underemployed? A kitchen with limited opportunities, where people have lost hope in education and hardworking but embrace internet fraud and scamming.
Now the African Kitchen is so hot, and it is at its apogee, because it has allowed itself for emigrants from Asia and Europe to exploit the local people with all sorts of menial jobs, it has given way for these emigrants to spoil its natural resources with illegal mining.
Africa’s Kitchen is one that there is no confidence in the judicial system, the legislature and the security. Corruption and greed in public institutions is the order of the day. A kitchen with political instability, chaos and wars, nepotism, favoritism and discrimination. A kitchen with poor health systems, poor education systems, poor infrastructures and poor housing systems. A kitchen of lies and propaganda. Africa kitchen is not that of industrialization but specializes in the production of raw materials.
Blacks have indirectly enslaved blacks since the day they decided to make the kitchen hot for them. What is happening in Libya is in reality, direct blacks enslaving blacks. This is a call to our African leaders to make the Kitchen cool for young energetic youths to stay and contribute to nation building. As long as the kitchen continues to be hot, blacks will leave in search of a cooler kitchen and slavery will have an infinity nature.
