Leaders of 120 nations have gathered in New York to discus the future course of fight against climate change. The purpose of the summit on one hand is to secure commitments from all countries that they will fight 'the battle', but also to convince the major 'industry' players to reduce their carbon footprint in the coming years.
The host of this year's summit, UN Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, said that leaders were there ‘not to talk, but to make history’. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio told the attending leaders: "You can make history or you will be vilified". Among other distinguished guests of the summit are Barack Obama, David Cameron, Dilma Rousseff and others.
