When young people fail, they have much more time to learn & reboot, whereas people in their 40's have much less. This means more chances to succeed. Moreover, young entrepreneurs simply have less responsibility - whether it be financial commitments such as mortgage, or family and children, and therefore, they are much more likely to take risks which ultimately lead to success.
What is more, youth of today grew up with technology - they are on top of it all. Meanwhile, older people take a much longer time learning to operate all this new stuff that is constantly being released. However, if you've ever doubted yourself because of your age or inexperience, look at how much the same things actually work to your advantage.
