The Huffington Post has included Serbia in the top 25 emerging hotspots for 2015, and has characterized its capital Belgrade as an eclectic, underrated European city, that is best visited in spring and summer, when coffee shops and restaurants overflow in street gaiety. But, one could argue this flattering statement. This November 300 young people from all over the world will flock to Belgrade for the well-known Belgrade Model European Union 2015, which will give Serbia’s capital new radiance, one that has never been seen before.
For quite some time, Belgrade city buses, trolleys and trams have been announcing the aforementioned simulation of the key EU institutions inviting bright young people to join BEUM 2015. In the collaboration with Masel Group, BEUM Association has created a short quiz that aims to provide people with basic knowledge about the EU and Europe itself. This way, not only that the result will be that not one single person will lack elemental information and understanding of what the European Union is, but more important everyone will be well prepared to welcome the participants of the Belgrade Model European Union 2015.
So, as you might see, Belgrade is all about BEUM 2015 this November. However, we boldly assume that Belgrade will become the top hotspot for 2016 due to its distinctive tradition, welcoming locals, exciting nightlife, and original cultural happenings. There is only one way to experience the uniqueness of the city, and that is by coming and seeing it firsthand yourself. Feel the spirit of BEUM this November, and we just might be seeing you next year. Is it going to be in November? Well, that’s a surprise!
