Since I am all into pesticides today, here is a great infographic on how the pesticides affect the food we eat. Different foods store different amounts of pesticides, some so little that you can almost consume them without washing, the others so much that not even thorough cleaning process could get enough toxins out. See the infographic for more info and let me know what you think.

If you're interested in what the UN, or The Plant Production and Protection Division (AGP) of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, does regarding the matter, you should visit their presentation. Their Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes have demonstrated that pesticide use can often be reduced significantly without affecting the profits.
