The feeling of your
stomach in a knot. You make your way up to the podium, your hands are slightly
shaky, all eyes are on you. “This is it”, you think to yourself. “Let’s make this
resolution pass”. For that moment the outer world seems almost irrelevant and everything
you and your allies have worked hard for is at stake.
You might recognize this feeling, have you ever attended an MUN. This is exactly how I felt during my second day of the NordicMUN, Copenhagen, October 2015.It was without a doubt the best conference I have experienced, and that is most definitely because of my fellow delegates in the committee. Yes, people is what makes the world great. Every moment of it was intense. Strategies and alliances were brilliantly plotted and every one of us was boiling with the will to solve the issue at hand.
In such an environment, it is nearly impossible not to grow. Hearing speeches by excellent delegates, being challenged by disagreements and cooperating with wonderful delegations is an experience everyone should have. What more is there to ask for? The NordicMUN taught me that you have to work hard to achieve something worthwhile and that knowing you have put your heart and soul into achieving something you are proud of is one of the most rewarding aspects of living.
experience changed me, and it is exactly this type of life changing experience
that I intend to provide – along with my fellow organizers and directors – for
all the delegates during The Global Indian Model United Nations Conference 2016 (TGIMUNC).
I heartily invite every passionate and curious student to join me this June at TGIMUNC 2016, the greatest conference of all – where the extraordinary will happen.
See you in New Delhi!
