Every MUN is special and it is not an easy task to choose the best MUN I attended. However, there is one conference that changed my life, widened my world, gave me self confident and that is ROMUN 2015.
I attended ROMUN as a delegate of Denmark and this was my first International MUN ever. To be honest, I was very afraid to travel, as it was my first time getting out of my home town and I was alone from whole Uzbekistan. After hard preparation process finally I arrived to Rome, but I was surprised I didn’t felt alone. People in Rome were very polite and were ready to assist me with any problem I had. Meeting people from all over the globe and getting familiar with different cultures and different traditions were one of the most exciting moments of my life.
Coming to the conference I strongly believe that MUN is not just an interactive educational experience that teaches in an enjoyable manner about the UN but it is an authentic simulation of the UN Committees which catapults students into the world of diplomacy and negotiation by making us step into the shoes as "ambassadors" of UN member states to debate current issues on the Organization's vast agenda by preparing draft resolutions, plot strategies, resolve conflicts and navigate the United Nations rules of procedure, all in the interest of mobilizing "international cooperation" in order to resolve problems affecting the global arena.
