The point is that we will arrive at a time when the weight of the elderly will be unsustainable and, without doing anything, we are going to risk the collapse.
Trying to reverse the trend of generations is almost impossible and, however, there are differences between the various States.
It seems an impossible scenario, but it could work!
They are a possible solution to this problem because, once they have been integrated into our social and working system, they could fill the gap, generating benefits for everyone.
We must not treat them as financial variables. First, they are people.
People with dreams! Trying to live in peace, build a family and get a job, like every one of us and they did not succeed because of constant conflicts, authoritarian regimes and the financial crisis.
You, in their place, what would you do?
That is why we have a duty, at least a moral duty, to welcome and integrate them into our society.
Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages, but both economically and morally, this is the right thing to do.
The pensions matter is only one of the many advantages that the phenomenon of migration brings with it but be careful, we should not incentivize this phenomenon.
We just have to find a way to limit the damage and this is the best way.
