Halo! Good day everyone!
I bet many of you are college students and probably some of you are still undergoing maturity process, which means, confusion on setting and achieving your life's purpose and goals are still very common.
Needless to say, when we are nearly reaching our cycle as student, our somewhat confusion is getting more prominent. We begin to think and contemplate more about future, our life pursuit after getting done with college.
But, many contemporary students are thinking about their life orientation as a thing, instead of value that they would like to share or achieve. Is that wrong? Nothing can be wrong, really. It is especially relevant if we are counting the common traits found in millennial generation (gen-y) like us.
However, do not forget one thing..
Well said Dalai Lama!
Many of us may chase money, prestige, and so on but some of us may end up trapped in desperation. The reason is fairly simple, because we tend to forget to be happy and be grateful with things we have or achieve. Ambitiously driven, we tend to force ourselves too much. Never get yourself satisfied is good, but do not let your thirst fool you.
As a final year student myself, I keep trying to find more and more value in every life process I went through. For instance, whenever I'm joining a competition, it's not always all about losing and winning, you can actually find a lot more values there, it can range from self-development, even far into helping others to develop as well.
Sometimes happiness is not all about attainment. Many times I thought that I can obtain happiness when I'm filthy rich, because I can afford and buy anything I want. But being surrounded by environment and consequently, realities around it, I began to realize that to make my life valuable not only to myself, but as well to the others has brought even grater happiness to me. It sounds really cliche I know, but why would I spend years of life only to satisfy my own hunger?
Good Luck to All of Us, Dream Chaser!
