Being a citizen of a state that is exposed to a variety of cultural or ethnic groups, one cannot stop thinking of the possibility of what may occur in times of disagreement of either any party involved or not.
Firstly, it gave me the opportunity to learn to deal with different cultures of people during negotiations, such as being able to substantively express my ideas in a manner that is culturally accepted.
Secondly, perseverance and eagerness to understand the country that I was representing as the delegate of the state. In order to properly convey and relay the foreign policy of the state that I represented. A chance to contribute in enhancing and contributing in foreign relations field.
Thirdly, embracing failure that lead to determination to work harder. This opened a better opportunity for me as a MUNer.
Finally, the friendship that I was able to establish with my co-delegates.
Cultural diversity is one of the common denominator that no matter what angle one may try to understand it it will always make each and every person relate to. And this is the beauty of Model United Nations. MUN allows individuals coming from a cultural diverse environment to listen to each other. Even if disagreements may come along the way, this is the beauty of allowing each one to understand the different concept of their own cultural background. Not only that, MUN serves as the leeway for proposals and solutions to transpire the growth of a globalized era. Finally, it allows you to venture into the possibilities of life that will contribute to your well-being and development.
