I have also noticed there is no terminology for the levels of experience, so here we go:
NOTE: This is just for fun, do not take this seriously.
1. The Beginner
The first time MUNers, those who do not fully understand the rules of procedures, how to write a draft resolution, are often reserved and don't do much speaking and usually tag along the more experienced delegates.
The MUNers who have had a couple of experiences and have a good idea of what they are doing. They are encouraged and they feel confident that they can do better, and although they can stick out among the crowd, they know they just learned how to walk in MUN grounds.
3.1. The MUN Fanatic
They are often the funniest of the MUNers and also the most dangerous. They understand well the rules of procedures and how to handle crisis committees, they are also the ones that if you do not watch them, they can easily create World War III.
They can be fun and you will usually find them in crisis committees, JCCs and Interconnectivities either as delegates or organizing them as Chairperson.
3.2. The MUN Veterans
This class of MUNers are dedicated and responsible, they are the ones who want to have a good MUN experience, being in a crisis or normal committee. They understand well how the simulations work and understand the power play within the committees, and usually try to balance and keep an eye on the MUN Fanatics. However, be careful with this bunch, they can always have secret agendas in play.
They are enthusiastic about leadership positions as well and often are the ones that make the best chairs or Secretary Generals.
This is a small class of MUNers who have tried of everything, they have been to many conferences, have been delegates in crisis committees, have chaired several times, probably already coached MUNers, organized conferences and probably served as Secretary General once or a couple of times. They continue going to conferences only as a passtime.
They have many contacts across the MUN world, and are so confident that usually do not even need to prepare for a committee nor pay attention on the veterans and fanatics.
Hope you enjoyed.
