1. Don't worry, be happy. Yes, I just quoted Bob Marley. Yes, worry affects your performance and it's not the buddy you want to keep around. Take a deep breath and relax. Remember, this is supposed to be a fun experience for you, and that you want to make the most of this opportunity.
2. Socialize like your life depends on it. If you talk to more people and familiarize yourself with the names of the people (please try to learn their names and avoid using their countries instead of their names) in your committee, the more relaxed you will be. Now honestly, I wasn't that prepared for my first conference because of school work (I got everything together about three days before the actual conference), which is why I used socializing as my survival mechanism. Talking to people, complimenting their speeches, and so forth made me more comfortable to ask people questions during their speeches (Point of Inquiry) and Point of Order them. Before I knew it, little delegation of Japan was questioning the validity of UK's facts and telling the delegation of the United States off.
