1. When and where will Antwerp Model United Nations (AntwerpMUN in further text) happen?
Our simulation will take place between Wednesday March 8 and Sunday March 12. On Wednesday evening, we will host an introduction event so all delegates can get to know each other. Between Thursday and Sunday, the simulation itself will take place.
2. How much is the fee for the conference?
The fee for our simulation is €65 for members, and €70 for non-members. This includes food and drinks during the day program, a social evening program at night (Bar crawl, pub quiz, Lustrumgala), as well as other surprises.
3. How many participants will there be at the AntwerpMUN?
We are aiming towards 100 participants, but of course hope for more.
4. How long will the conference last?
The conference itself takes place between Thursday and Sunday. On Sunday we will start an hour later, to make sure everyone gets a bit of rest after our Lustrumgala the night before.
5. Is accommodation included in the fee?
We have arranged a special deal for all particpants-to-be, at the fantastically located Antwerp City Hostel. Right on the stunning Great Marketsquare (Grote Markt), you will be able to stay for €10 a night, including breakfast! You can arrange this deal via our team.
6. To what airport should I fly to when coming to AntwerpMUN?
Brussels is the city with the closest International airports. While we recommend Zaventem, (given its fast train connection with Antwerp), Charleroi is also a possibility.
7. What does the agenda look like?
On Wednesday evening, delegates will be introduced to each other and enjoy the city of Antwerp. Thursday until Saturday will host the simulation itself (between 09:00 – 17:00), and in the evening we will host fun social events. On Saturday evening, delegates join us for our Lustrumgala in a beautiful old church. On Sunday, we will rest for an hour extra, and finish the simulation with our closing ceremony.
8. What are three MUST SEE places in the Antwerp?
The Great Marketsquare (Grote Markt) is internationally known for its beautiful architecture, and the oldest city hall in the world which is still in use. Stroll through the always-packed shopping street Meir, or visit the up-and-coming area The Island (Het Eilandje), defined by the museum MAS, which offers a breathtaking panorama view of the city next to renowned exhibitions.
9. What is the application deadline for the conference?
Participants can apply until December 23, 2016. So make sure you are on time!
10. How do I learn more about the conference?
