1.When and where will ZuMUN 2016 conference happen?
ZuMUN 2016 will be held from the 14th April 2016 to 17th April 2016.
2.How much is the conference fee for ZuMUN 2016?
The total conference fee is only 80.- CHF, including an amazing social package!
3.How many participants will there be at ZuMUN 2016 conference?
We predict that we will host 150 to 200 delegates this year.
4.How long will ZuMUN 2016 conference be?
The conference lasts for three and a half days, starting on Thursday afternoon on the 14th and ending on Sunday, the 17th.
5.Is accommodation included in the conference fee? If not, what are my accommodation options?
Accommodation isn’t included in the conference fee. The delegates can make use of the deals we have with hostels in Zurich – Swiss Youth hostels, City backpacker, and Langstars – which provide great accommodation for affordable prices and there is also a discount for the delegates.
6.What committees will ZuMUN 2016 simulate?
We will have two crises: a Future Security Council and a historical crisis set in the 8th century. Furthermore, because our overarching topic for the conference is “Middle East: Going Beyond Borders”, we have chosen our committees around it and that is why we will simulate DISEC, the Arab League, UNESCO, and HRC as the committee for our colleagues from high schools. 7.To what airport should I fly to
when coming to ZuMUN?
When coming, we recommend that you fly to Zurich international airport. It is connected to all major airports in Europe and the world.
8.What does ZuMUN 2016 Schedule look like?
The conference starts on Thursday afternoon with the opening ceremony, a reception, and the first social event. Committee sessions start on Friday morning and last until Sunday mid-day when we close the conference in a ceremony. Every evening, we have a social event planned for our delegates one of them being a delegate dinner.
9.What are 3 MUST SEE places in Zurich?
The entire city is beautiful, but there are some places which definitely stand out: the buildings of the two universities in Zurich where the conference will be held, the Seschselaeutenplatz, the square right at the lakefront where the Zurich Opera house is located, and the Niederdorf, the oldest part of Zurich, home to the city’s main church – the Grossmunster – its two towers being the most prominent landmark in Zurich and are featured on our logo.
10.What is the local currency?
The local currency is the Swiss franc – CHF, one of the most trusted currencies in the world.
11.What is the application deadline for ZuMUN 2016?
The application deadline is the 1st of March.
