1.When and where will the PS-MUN 2016 conference happen?
Platon School Model United Nations (PS-MUN) will take place at the premises of Platon IB World School in Athens, Greece from Friday March 4th to March 6th, 2016.
2.How much is the conference fee for PS-MUN 2016?
The conference fee for the delegates and student participation is 60€ and 40€ for advisors. There is no delegation fee.
3.How many participants will there be at PS-MUN 2016 conference?
We are expecting approximately 600 students, as we had in previous years. We had a great variety of schools participating from many different countries.
4.How long will PS-MUN 2016 conference be?
PS-MUN is a three day conference (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
5.Is accommodation included in the conference fee? If not, what are my accommodation options?
Accommodation is not included in the prices, however, we cooperate with hotels situated in the centre of Athens, at a special discount rate. As the hotels are not close to the school, we provide shuttle bus transportation, to and from the conference.
6.What committees will PS-MUN 2016 simulate?
PS-MUN has 5 General Assembly committees: Disarmament International Security, Social Humanitarian & Cultural, Special Political & Decolonization, Legal and Environmental
and 4 Specialized Agencies: Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), International Court of Justice (ICJ), Security Council (SC) and Special Conference on Migration: A Movement For Change

8.What does PS-MUN 2016 Schedule look like?
On the first day of the conference, students begin lobbying in their committees, soon after the Official Opening Ceremony takes place and then lobbying continues once again. On the second day, delegates finalize with the lobbying procedures and then begin debating for the rest of the day. On the final day, delegates sum up with the debate and the session of the General Assembly begins. The conference ends with the Official Closing Ceremony.
9.What are 3 MUST SEE places in Athens?
The Parthenon and Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the National Archaeological Museum, the Athens city centre, the old historical neighbourhood of Athens (Plaka, Monastiraki and Syntagma Square).
