The Seminar Public Health and Human Rights will take place at EIUC, the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratization, in Venice (Italy) on the 19th of May 2016.
2. How much is the fee for the seminar?
Enrollment fee for the seminar amounts to € 260,00 (VAT included) with no accommodation, or € 360,00 (VAT included) with accommodation for 1 night (night 18 May – departures 19 May 2016).
If you choose the option with no accommodation, the enrollment fee will include:
- tuition fee
- lunch on seminar day, coffee breaks and the reception
- tuition fee
- lunch on seminar day
- accommodation in a single room in a hotel on the Lido for 1 night
We would like to have between 25 and 30 participants.
The Seminar will last one day.

Yes if you choose the “with accommodation” option.
The closest airport is “Marco Polo”, the Venice’s airport.
7. What does the agenda look like?
The interdisciplinary seminar on public health and human rights will host some of the most renowned experts on health related human rights. Their presentations will be organized in three panels: (a) public health and human rights at national, regional and national levels; (b) global health security and the protection of human rights; and (c) public health systems and prevention of human rights. Presentations in each panel will be followed by an interactive discussion with other participants. The key-note lecturer at the seminar is Prof. Stefano Semplici, Professor of Social Ethics at “Tor Vergata” University. He is the former Chairperson of the International Bioethics Committee of UNESCO. San Marco’s Square is the most famous location and a “must see” in Venice, next to it are a beautiful St. Mark’s Basilica and a palace of doges (Palazzo Ducale); moreover, worth seeing is also the beautiful Rialto Bridge on the Great Canal and also the “Basilica della Saluta”, a beautiful church almost in front of San Marco. A ride on the Venetian waves, in the Venetian gondola or with a vaporetto (water bus), is an unforgettable experience.9. What is the application deadline for the seminar?
