
1. When and where will the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School (GESS in further text) 2016 happen?
GESS will take place from 10th to 16th September, 2016. It will be held simultaneously in three different cities: Munich, Shanghai and Mexico City.
2. Who is GESS for?
Every students who is strongly committed to improving our society through creating solutions to solve global social problems.

3. What is the topic of this year´s GESS 2016?
The topic of this year is “Migration” - one of the biggest challenges of our time. For that we need to do one thing: start finding solutions.
4. How much is the fee for GESS 2016?
There is a non-refundable tuition fee of EUR 119.00 per selected participant. Apart from that, travel costs have to be covered by the individual. After being selected, participants can apply for 1 of 10 competitive travel scholarships per venue, given out in cash during their stay. The scholarship covers 50% of the travel expenses, with a maximum of EUR 500.00.

5. How many participants will there be at GESS 2016?
There will be 105 students, 35 students in each of the cities.
6. How long will GESS 2016 last?
It will be held from 10th to 16th September, 2016.
7. Is accommodation included in the fee?
Participants do not have to pay for their accommodation. It will be provided in either shared student dorms or private rooms at fellow participants’ homes.

8. To what airport should I fly to when coming to the GESS 2016?
In all the three cities it is best to fly to the International Airport of each city.
9. What does the agenda look like?
Participants will work in international and interdisciplinary teams to develop business ideas that have both a sustainable impact for society and a self-sustaining, profitable business model. A series of interactive lectures by renowned entrepreneurs structure the project work and provide with complementary knowledge (e.g. business planning or topic-specific issues). Throughout the GESS, each team is partnered with coaches who provide feedback and assistance on the project, business plan, and technical questions. At the end of the course, the team will pitch their idea to an audience of more than 200 guests.
10. What is a MUST SEE place in each of the cities?
Shanghai: The Bunt with it’s beautiful and famous view on the breathtaking skyline. Exploring the architecture and art atmosphere of Shanghai's French Concession. And of course: The Night Market!
Mexico City: The cuisine, Frida Karlo Museum and of course the famous Metropolitan Cathedral Munich: The famous Oktoberfest 2016 will start right after the GESS. The alps, the surfers in the city, Brezn and German Gemütlichkeit.
11. What is the application deadline for the GESS 2016?
The application deadline is on 31st March, 2016.
