First of all, switch on your PC and launch a web browser onto it in order to access the web-based setup page. So, in order to access the setup page, you have to connect your computer with the existing router via Ethernet cable. After that, in the address bar you need to type the default IP address of the range extender.

Once you are logged in successfully, type the login credentials by default into the required fields. After that, move to ‘Administration’ field to proceed towards the reset process of your Linksys range extender. Here, you just have to hit the ‘factory default reset’ button to reset your Linksys device successfully.
First, shut down your computer and disconnect all the connected devices with the range extender. After five minutes, connect the power cable and give your range extender 2-4 minutes to boot up completely. Once your range extender is booted up completely, insert a paper clip or any thin object in the factory reset hole for 20 seconds. Once completed with the countdown, release it (the factory reset button).

Plug in your range extender and the existing router and wait for the LED lights on them start blinking. Now, grab your computer and connect it with your range extender through an Ethernet cable. After that, open an internet browser and in the address bar, type linksys extender login. Next, without any delay enter the username and password (default) in order to jump into the web-based setup page. Once you are successfully in, follow the on-screen to start the setup process of your Linksys range extender. Now, in the next step, you can see the list of available and active networks. Just select that network whose range you want to extend by typing the password for your existing WiFi router. Once done, hit ‘Next’, save the settings and reboot your range extender. After resetting your device, unplug your range extender and after two minutes plug it back away from microwaves, cordless phones, metal appliances, and Bluetooth speakers.
