Beaulieu – 60 hectares of science
The campus gathers the faculty of environmental sciences,
of physics, of mathematics, of philosophy, school of engineering, institute of
informatics & electronics, Rennes’ science observatory, and the labs of 20 national researchers' units.
Its construction was launched in 1963. The architect, Louis Arretche, ‘s vision was inspired by American campuses and green spaces. Also, many sculptors designed exclusive pieces, which remain on display today.
The city center is home for the faculty of law & political sciences and the faculty of economics. The beauty of this site lies in the mix between old, historical and new, modern buildings.
White, clean structure and zen buildings host auditoriums, laboratories, a medical research centre and a teaching hospital. Running through these halls are the future of medicine and pharmacy.
