Old residents dread, night-shift workers are used to,
locals enjoy, travellers are intrigued by and youngsters embrace Rennes’s “LEGEND
– wait for it – DARY, LEGENDARY” nightlife. It all starts on Thursday evening,
after a long week, and ends on Sunday morning, after an unforgettable weekend.
Lighted lanterns and twinkling stars, crowds marching down the streets looking for parties lasting till dawn and never ending nights.
When talking about Rennes, we are bound to mention it.
May its international recognition never fade!
« Rue Saint Michel » - #1 of the Top 10 « Rue de la Soif » 2016 in France
In France, the expression « Rue de la Soif », which literally translates to “Thirsty Street”, – a quite accurate description of the atmosphere – is a part of town characterised by bars and pubs.
With a variety of themed bars, choose your flow …
Saturday mornings, it is the second biggest market in France. Saturday nights, it is where friends meet.
« Place des Lices » - 700 years of history
Numerous small neighbouring bars try to distinguish themselves. However, « Place des Lices » equals to « Le Kenland », the most famous pub in Rennes with its beautiful patio.
I would say if you are more into heavy drinking and wild parties go to “Rue Saint Michel”. However, if you prefer fresh-air while enjoying a drink or two while having an actual conversation “Place des Lices” is the place to be.
« Prison Saint-Michel » - registered as a historical monument, since 2014
Going to jail for a night out, what an idea?! Not if its dungeons, cells and towers are home to great clubs, restaurants and nightclubs.
