Before joining my first Model UN; I used to read news out of curiosity, now reading news is a daily habit that I have to do especially after learning how to debate in MUNs, also now I learnt that I have to have an opinion on both national and international issues.
Trying to follow news from more than one website to get a full view from more than one side has always been challenging for me till I started using my first RSS reader “Google reader” (it is now shut).
So why use RSS readers?
Social networks are never a solution!
Imagine Reuters tweeted about something in another state which is rather interesting to you but to none of other whom you are following…BAAM! News lost!
Subscribing to get news as SMS
I feel sorry for your phone already...
Subscribing to get news on mail
Now imagine wanting to find an urgent mail between all the junk news!
Read and unread
Good thing about RSS readers is that you do not have to read same thing more than once.
You can read news from the news agency you like without having to read all others by just choosing it.
Having the application on your smartphone.
Imagine if you follow more than one news agency, will you install an application for each or just RSS reader and follow all?
Those are some of my favorite…
