In the next five years, we want to work on developing an alumni programme for attendees on our course, and expand our course offering. We’re aiming to run three two-week courses over the summer of 2017 (totalling 6 weeks) to offer more flexibility to our students as to when they attend. We’re keen to retain our small, friendly summer school size, and not to grow too quickly to dilute the bespoke, nurturing environment that our summer school will take place in.
We’re keen to expand to Cambridge, to allow our students to access the range and talent of academics in that city, and to enable us to organise exciting day trips to the beautiful countryside of East Anglia and to the incredible sights of Cambridge.
We want to continue to hire the best tutors we can find, and we also want to be able to grow our summer school to include even more exciting subjects, possibly even running a sciences-based course, rather than just humanities, as at present.
It’s all onwards and upwards for OFL in the long-term, but at present we’re focussing on making our 2016 course as good as it can be!
