Our subject combinations, where students can study a main topic (the ‘major’ subject) and combine it with one ‘minor subjects’, should help our students to make connections between a range of academic disciplines, and give them maximum exposure to a range of important subjects.
We at OFL believe that through giving students the tools to engage critically with the world around them, we can change the future for the better. Education is not just given to young people for its own sake - they have to go out into the world and use what they have learned. It is for this reason that we also offer a series of ‘Leadership Development’ Lectures, equipping students with the ability to take control of their future and help their communities to manage the changes of the 21st century.
Of course, it’s not all work. We also believe that a good work/life balance is the key to successful study, so we are also offering a busy social and cultural calendar. You’ll get a guided tour of venues such as the Houses of Parliament in London, visit the incredible neoclassical architecture of Blenheim Palace, go on a ghost tour around Oxford at night, see the ancient Bodleian Library from the inside, and, of course, visit the incredible Harry Potter Studios in London.
We hope that our students come away enthused to deepen their understanding of what they have learned on our summer school, and equipped with the tools to change the world for the better. That is the ultimate aim of Oxbridge Future Leaders - and one we’re working immensely hard to achieve.
