The World Meteorological Organization, a United Nations body, released a hypothetical weather forecast from 2050, in which it demonstrates the consequences of decades of harmful human behavior related to the increased CO2 emissions.
The purpose of the video is to raise awareness about climate changes before the high-level UN Climate Summit which will take place in New York on September 23. It is estimated that the global temperatures will rise to up to 50 degrees Celsius and cause extreme droughts, while causing floods at the same time in different parts of the world. Recently published researches suggest that humans are responsible for 95% green house emissions released into the atmosphere since the 1950.
"Climate change is affecting the weather everywhere. It makes it more extreme and disturbs established patterns. That means more disasters; more uncertainty," said Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary-General.
