I have made my first money when I was 6, selling new year decoration to my friends and school mates turned me into school’s coolest guy. I was buying full set of decorations and selling them by piece for the cheapest price than shops and markets around. Then by engaging my brother and cousins to the same business our network was growing very intensively through whole school with 2300 pupils, later on pupils from the neighboring school become our customers. During very short Christmas period we made a lot of money, amount was so big that we were not able to spend all of them, and at the end, when our parents found out that I have so much money, it turned to be not the happy end of the story.
I was born in a very strict family of military servant father and Jew mother, material values were the last thing that we thought, and instead we were raised up as intelligent citizens with mandatory reading list, language skills and art, sports classes. For my parents life motto was that, you can be poor, but you can’t be un educated. Classic post soviet education and strict rules of my family “killed” school aged businessmen along with holiday long punishment and ban of making money with any other ways till the end of school life which took 11 years.
All this time being “normal” and as others, spending my parent’s money was not for me, and I was collecting all my pocket money with no reason. Instead of just going and coming back from the school, I wanted to be social active and to make school life more interesting. Not only at our school but almost everywhere in our country after Armenian-Azerbaijani war, industry was crushed, and “fun” was not the part of daily life.
As I was not allowed to make, I decided to make social impact projects as science competitions, school newspaper and different drama plays which were played by pupils. It was more fun and thought me a lot on the way to leadership; I learned how to lead people and how to gain people around the one purpose.
Years past by, I managed to obtain university degree, I worked for worlds’ giant commercial companies and huge political organizations, established organization for peace and human rights, got scholarships and my work on this way was recognized by local governments and international organizations such as EU parliament and United Nations.
