Hello there readers,
After the exam's contest, everyone in the school was partying, taking group photos, selfies...etc, and some were already planning to spend the night at the beach (because it was summer), me on the other hand, I was so tired that I took off to the campus to rest and get my stuff ready to go back home. The next day I finalized some paperwork with the campus administration, got myself and my stuff ready, packed them in the car and moved back home, about three weeks later, the results of the national contest were online and I was selected for the school I chose to study at, the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, oldest school of engineering in the country, further instructions for registration were sent a few days later, while many of my friends were sent to other schools, one of them is close to mine but we managed through the years to stay in touch.
National Polytechnic School of Algiers (École Nationale Polytechnique d'Alger)
The starting of the study year came close, the school's administration sent us the address of both it's location and the campus address, and also the date of choosing the field of study the we'll endorsed the rest of the three years left, I chose process engineering and there was only one my old classmates and friend we found ourselves on the same class but later I managed to make others that we're still to this day in touch, we were instructed this is a general year of studying process engineering, the next year we'll have to choose between chemical or environmental engineering. After that we went to get our rooms in the campus, I got mine with an old friend of mine for a few days till we got each other single rooms; a few days later we started studying, adapting to the city, the school's routine and the campus, there wasn't much to do in the beginning, only studying, no events or some crazy stuff we used to do in the previous school, it felt more boring if it wasn't for exploring the area which was new to me, but later in the year things got harder, we had to speed up the pace, and we were at the blink of failing our first year; luckily we got through and we were called for specialty assignment, I was assigned to the environmental engineering department of which I studied two more years, there were some ups and downs, I found out how get some fun during my free time and joined two college clubs, assisted to events and engaged into a start-up for a while, those two years I learned a lot, the last one I had more field experience than theory because I was preparing my thesis for five months; it was an unforgettable experience that I cherished, and in June 19th I presented my work which I achieve with honors and graduated afterwards in July 4th 2017. Pretty much that's how I got my engineering degree, along with my Master's.
