Around 70 promising students and professionals from 35 countries around the world have attended lectures, meetings and workshops at the Graduate Institute’s 2016 Summer Programmes onInternational Affairs and Global Governance; and theWTO, International Trade and Development.
Unique opportunities to learn, meet and network within the very heart of the international community proved to be a formative experience for participants during their two-to-three weeks in Geneva. Extracurricular activities, including visits to Geneva sites, meals at restaurants and nights out in the city, provided a taste of the work-life balance available at the Graduate Institute. For many participants, guided tours of the UN or WTO will be the first time they have set foot in an international organisation. For perhaps a handful, it will certainly not be the last!
