TrinMUN: Inaugural edition of Trinity College Model United Nations! With a pretty strong team, enough delegates to make a well-established conference jealous, traditional socials (it's all about them pubs with music you know), cutting-edge agenda, it was certainly a blast! Let me add top European officials as guest speakers and a really eager organising team and there you have it! A pretty neat conference structure! Definitely will be looking forward to future editions and will be more than glad to run into delegations by SoFIA (the society behind it)
1) Cheap & prestigious at the same time: hostels of hotel quality but in sleeping bag prices. Restaurants that could easily claim any international award but are affordable even to addict people's wallets. Your eating view will probably be a church (there are so many different doctrines that still survive there which is both impressive and after a while, you stop asking about the church before you and just take pictures of it) or a pub (most of them have great history attached to them so, it's worth visiting!
2) Free Wi-Fi: Internet, Internet everywhere! I don't know about you, but my reaction when I saw wifi on the bus, was beyond happiness (i know, there are a lot of cities with wifi around but I am always thrilled to find one). It is always nice to see that the city has a lot of wi-fi spots where you can connect with no charge and for unlimited time period.
3) Dublin itself: Inevitably, when there I compared it to London a lot of times and was severely disappointed for not visiting earlier. Dublin is the cleaner, funnier, cheaper, and way cooler version of London. Unfortunately, public means of transport stop at midnight but given London's tube prices, there is a high possibility that you will end up walking a great deal back to your accommodation from the social anyways.
Additionally, the number of pubs and their variations are stunning- it's like being in a toy store and unaware of which toy to buy, you have to try them all out! The Irish, over the oppression years, managed to develop the perfect environment for a genuine party with the less amount of products needed. Music, whisky and the Irish joy it's all you need- in other words, the never ending social that you are always searching for...
All and all, London thanks for leaving Europe-you gave me the chance to find Dublin!
PS-Mille merci TrinMUN!
