If you have wondered how the Kim Kardashians and Beyoncé’s of the world seem to just bounce back oh-so-effortlessly after having just given birth, well Chrissy Teigen recently unveiled all. Celebrities have an army of people to help them right afterwards: from nutritionists, to dieticians, personal trainers and private chefs to cater to their every whim, it really is not that hard when you think about it. For us mere mortals though? Life after pregnancy can be tough as it is, and when you throw in weight loss, things become so much tougher. However, in the interest of your health and ensuring you whip your body back in shape, there are a few things you should consider yourself: with or without minions!Get Back Into an Exercise Routine
Believe it or not, the smallest things are what end up delivering big results, and this is one of them. Even if you did not have an exercise routine before, you should adopt one now. For starters, you want to be more active and have more energy to run after your little one. And for another, you want to ensure that you are in the best possible health for both your and their sake. You need not push yourself at once, just gradually sink into it. Maybe start with yoga, and then look at indulging in a sport you really enjoy. Later, you can start really working out, once your body has had a chance to rest.Watch What You Eat
You will certainly have those days when ice cream and cake seems like a perfectly good combo for breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially seeing as how you will be sleep deprived and tired; but you need to watch what you eat. In other words, do not load your plate with food, instead eat many small meals a day. Have more fresh items like salads, fish, grains and legumes. If you need some extra help, you can have fat burning supplements too, but only if you are given the clear from your doctor, since you do not want it to affect your breast milk in any way.Choose Healthy Snacks
You will need to keep your energy and health up during this tiring time. One way to ensure you opt for the good stuff, is by reaching out for healthy snacks. Do not stock food items that have empty calories and are packed with sugars. Look for snacks that are good for you like carrots in hummus dip which is actually really good! Fruit salads with yoghurt are another. You can look online for ideas if you feel bored with options. You will be surprised as to how much of a difference this will make.Get Some Sleep
You probably just scoffed at that one, because, well which new mother ever got some sleep? Well, not one, but you need not go for 8 hours at a stretch. You need to get some sleep at least even for a couple of hours. Your body needs to regulate itself and rest, if not your whole metabolic system will be thrown off, plus your stress levels will worsen. Both are sure-fire ways of allowing your weight to stubbornly cling to you, so do try and get some shut eye.
