Finding opportunites for young people is a critical challenge for Africa were many of the people are below 25 and have attained non or low level of education yet the population is still increasing day and night after every decade. It is imperative that Africa leverage the talent and energy of its youths to create dramatically higher levels of prosperity, equality aviod the latent risks of unemployment and socil instability.
In the recent research Africa finds itself in a precarious position on this most important issue were by youth unemployment is threetimes the continent overall average and most them live below the poverty line of No or $1 per day to help their families were many children are forced to work instead of going to school and they are being low wedges which adds a break of education that leads to total poverty. Some try business that needs to get their heads to the game but they endup stranded by lack of startup capital.
Many of the youths would involve them selves in Agriculture and project related activities to that realizing their aspirations would give a greater impact to other youths to improve their standards of living and ignite economic growth empowering them with opportunities to reach and apply their potential is both our challenge and mostly vital opportunity.
Many youths try and struggle so much to find ends meet and you really feel pity but you keep them in prayers. Though some see progess, many of African youths are still isolated in this and offering many youths, children and girls quality education is critical for success that is to say ony two-thirds of the youths who start elementary school in Africa graduate, few continue to tertiary education and some of them but limitted number get university degree above all after they face a big challenge finding a skilled job but the lucky ones are taken to work in developed countries.
Africa would be the richest continent in the world if her people would make the best use of their resources and create jobs for their citizens, But unless our leaders are willing to put in the work for our young people to improve their future then we must adopt the western world way of development for us to eventually succed.
The way of education must change and enterprenuership must be an intergral to African youths on young people. We need to impart not only in techincal skills of enterprenuership but also mindset of the enterprenuer through our education system that is to say formal and informal. Then we need to lauch a campaign to address all this in communities and schools for everyone to have a chance of airing out views on challenges affecting Africa and her people.
Africa is a well known continent of gold, oil, mangness, ivory, diamond, silver among others and the true wealth lies in our people especially the youths only by unlocking potential for us to work harder to develop our continent. We have the best resources and raw materials the would ever say but we lack skilled labourto manufacture, drill, mine them.
We live many of our minerals to investors who come use our own people to earn much and they develop their continent living Africans still behind and even pay them little for work and efforts. Minerals are being mined but the beneficiaries are not their people, they transfered to the developed continent.
Oh Africa the land with the richest minerals yet the youths are not given the chance to develop their countries and they are living in poverty but if Africans are trained, labour and machines gotten we would have best continent in the whole world.
Investors have demonated many parts of Africa were minerals or raw materials are found hence displacing our people to areas not of their origin and after manufacuring or rather getting the best that they want then the wealth is transfered to develop their countries living Africa backward, poor and poorer.
I was inspired by two different women here in Africa, one brew local beer called "AJONO" and the other sales chachoal to a living, from the little they would get they sent their children to school till they completed university degree with first class respectively unfortunately all two were taken to work abroad developing the western world instead of their continent Africa living a big gap for Africa to cover.
We have the capacity, ability, resources and raw materials but without machines and skilled labour to manufacure, mine, drill we are still no were but i argue all youths in Africa to join hands and keep trying for us to develop Africa our motherland.
Everything now lies in the hands of the young people its upto us to either continue sleeping or wakeup and stop being lazy to fight poverty, ignorance, corruption, unemployment and change our continent Africa. For God and My Country.
