Mr. Abdul Wares Nayel is currently responsible for Media & Communications at Hand in Hand Afghanistan, which is a member of Hand in Hand Global Network of independent organizations with shared mission to alleviate poverty and gender equality through creation of enterprises and jobs. Before he joined Hand in Hand – Afghanistan on October 2015, he was responsible to overall projects of Feroogh Mah Group, Afghanistan’s top media house and consulting agency. During his career in FMG, he implemented funded and subcontract projects on gender equality, women rights, democracy, justice and human rights, and media with reputable national and international organizations including DAI/USAID, UNDP, UNODC, UNFPA, The Asia Foundation, CCI/Creative, IFES. He was also the team leader for nation-wide awareness raising campaigns, including Afghanistan Presidential Election in 2014 where he run a UNDP/ELECT II project in 34 provinces of Afghanistan. He has been in Board of Directors of Feroogh Mah Group since 2012. Mr. Nayel has been also working as a part-time Multimedia Producer with Ariana TV, Afghanistan’s second most watched TV channel since 2007. He has produced various documentary films, TV shows and hosted Technology and Cinema Programs. His previous experience includes Senior Producer in The Killid Group, Translator in One TV Media and Head of English Department in Afghan National Association for Adult Education. He has also contributed on development of Business Plans to Afghan SMEs during second round of Afghanistan Business Innovative Fund (ABIF), a UKAID funded NGO operating in Kabul, Afghanistan.
He is graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts from Kabul University in 2014. Mr. Nayel has recently released his first publication on “TV Production Guide” and his political and social analyzing papers have been seen in Afghanistan newspapers like Hasht-e-Sobh, Mowj-e-Nukhust, Etilaaat.
