My scope of services as Finance Manager includes the following activities:
Managing the day to day activities of the Finance unit and staff assigned.
Establishing systems of internal control (including payments, fixed assets). This includes designing balanced authorization and review cycles that can allow prevention ex-ante reviews without hindering the progress of the project.
Recording all accounting in the bank accounts and keeping up-to-date using the accounting and reporting system.
Preparing and submitting to the Bank quarterly acceptable Interim Financial Report (IFR).
Maintaining all the fixed assets procured by the project with tagged and registered fixed asset register.
Develop an FM manual that reflects all the above in addition to the internal controls and payment cycles of the project.
Building the capacity of the FM team of the project and Ensuring the project’s funds are used only for the purposes intended in accordance with the project agreement and the World Bank policies and guidelines.
Maintaining all projects’ records in an organized manner.
Monthly bank reconciliations for the project bank account/s, books and World Bank client connection on a timely basis.
Ensuring the project’s budget/cash flows forecast are timely and accurately prepared in consultation with the project director.
Timely preparing and reconciling of financial statements with the MoF AFMIS and World Bank Client Connection.
Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual Interim Financial Report (IFR) and statements and other required reports to WB, KM, MOF through the PMU Team Leader.
