Intern, Program on Terrorism and Security Studies (PTSS)
George C. Marshall Center
September 2013 - December 2013
As an intern for the George C. Marshall Center, I was in charge of editing and putting together the PTSS Daily Journal (Program for Terrorism and Security Studies Journal). Editing this journal required me to monitor open sources on different subjects daily, including media, social media and different data-bases. Moreover, I was also able to participate in organizing courses for the students at the institute (creating presentations, course schedules, video-editing, sharing general news on the global intranet of the organization) and be part of the lectures, gaining more information about different subjects on security matters. This internship had a huge contribution in my decision regarding the topic of my Bachelor Thesis, guiding me to research more about the Syrian conflict and its implications concerning the threat over the Western society.
